Free Dental Care for Children Thanks to a new law, the government announced that all children, up till age 12 are entitled to free dental care. Your health-fund may offer free dental care to children up to age 18. Note that not all of them do. The health-funds may offer some type of discounted dental-care to their adult member. Please be aware that this is not part of the general health-fund care package (sal briut).

Maccabi, Meuhedet, Clalit offer dental work under general anaesthesia for those who suffer from extreme anxiety and other health issues like Downe's Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. We are still trying to verify if Kupat Holim Leumit offers this service as well. Some hospitals in Israel, also perform dental work under general anaesthesia
Private Dentists Lots of Israelis choose to go to the dentist privately or to a large dental clinic who will also offer you all of these services. As a general guideline, you can expect to pay anywhere between 150 - 500 shekels for a filling and about 800 - 3,000 for root canal treatment. Private dentists may also offer discounted rates so check your options. Like the health-funds, some private dentists also offer free dental services for children. You need to check.
