Thanks to a new law, the government announced that all children, up till age 12 are entitled to free dental care.
Your health-fund may offer free dental care to children up to age 18. Note that not all of them do. The health-funds may offer some type of discounted dental-care to their adult member. Please be aware that this is not part of the general health-fund care package (sal briut).

Some hospitals in Israel, also perform dental work under general anaesthesia
Lots of Israelis choose to go to the dentist privately or to a large dental clinic who will also offer you all of these services. As a general guideline, you can expect to pay anywhere between 150 - 500 shekels for a filling and about 800 - 3,000 for root canal treatment. Private dentists may also offer discounted rates so check your options. Like the health-funds, some private dentists also offer free dental services for children. You need to check.
